Zip-Tied Crate of Puppies Abandoned On Healdsburg Roadside
Police found seven puppies locked inside an abandoned zip-tied crate.
HEALDSBURG, CA — A crate of puppies was found Tuesday morning in Healdsburg abandoned on a busy local road.
The crate was left on West Side Road near Bacchus Landing.
Police found seven puppies locked inside inside and an eighth running near the road, which is traveled by heavy trucks and SUVs.

Someone had fastened the crate with zip ties, according to Healdsburg police.
Police took the seven puppies to the Healdsburg Animal Shelter, where they were later transferred to Sonoma County Animal Services.

Animal Control will continue to try to find the eightj puppy, which ran away when officers attempted to approach and could not be captured.
