SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Authorities lifted an evacuation warning Tuesday morning for residents of low-lying areas along the Russian River in Sonoma County, from unincorporated Healdsburg at U.S. Highway 101 downstream to Jenner.

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office first announced an evacuation order Feb. 4 for the area amid flooding caused by heavy rainfall. The order was downgraded Feb. 7 to a warning.

Some areas of the county were still affected Tuesday morning by landslides also caused by heavy rains. In Forestville, Rio Vista Road remained closed at the site of a landslide at Westside Road. In Santa Rosa, several homes were still under an evacuation warning due to a landslide above Deer Trail Court that trapped two residents. Last week, three more homes were added to the evacuation warning zone, bringing the total number of impacted homes to 19 — four in the city of Santa Rosa and 15 in the unincorporated area just outside city limits.
