Vista Grande Fire Halted At 62 Acres

Fairfield Police and Fire departments lifted mandatory evacuation orders.

VALLEJO, CA — Forward progress of the Vista Grande Fire in Fairfield on Monday has been stopped and evacuation orders have been lifted.

Multiple agencies are tackling a vegetation fire in Fairfield that has reached 62 acres.

The fire is centered near Vista Grande and Capitola Way, according to Cal Fire.

Fairfield Police and Fire departments ordered mandatory evacuations for residents and occupants of businesses in the areas of Palmer Circle, Bear Creek Drive and Sky View Circle but rescinded them at 6:20 p.m.

"All evacuations have been lifted, everyone may return to your residences," police said in an alert sent out to residents.

Cal Fire as well as fire departments from Vallejo and Fairfield are fighting the blaze.
