As Food Insecurity Worsens, Food Bank Calls For Helping Hands To Aid At-Risk Residents
The Redwood Empire Food Bank in Santa Rosa is asking for volunteers to help needy Sonoma County residents.
SONOMA VALLEY, CA — Food banks are preparing for a surge of needy residents in the aftermath the government shutdown, which has cut off access to CalFresh, the state’s version of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program — SNAP.
The Redwood Empire Food Bank in Santa Rosa is calling for volunteers to help distribute fresh produce, pantry staples, and healthy groceries in Sonoma County.
