Healdsburg Junior High to Offer Group Violin Lessons
Organizational meeting for parents set for Wed., Oct. 10 at 7 p.m.
The Healdsburg Junior High After School Strings Program will offer group lessons in violin group lessons to all Healdsburg Junior High students.
The classes will be taught by professional violinists, to all levels from beginner and up.
Other stringed instruments taught include viola, cello, and double bass.

In addition to teaching the skills to become proficient on the instrument and basic music theory and appreciation, the class will offer an opportunity for students to play and perform in ensembles such as duets, trios, quartets and a small orchestra.
This class will take place each Tuesday after school from 1:30-3p.m. beginning Oct. 16. Tuition will be on a sliding scale based on ability to pay and the number of students participating. Some scholarships may be available.

Organizational Meeting
All interested parents are asked to attend an organizational meeting on Wednesday evening, Oct.10th at 7 to 8 p.m. at the Healdsburg Junior High School Band Room. The meeting will offer a chance to learn about the instructors and the benefits this program may hold for students.
