  1. After three days of controlled burning last week out by Lake Sonoma, the Northern Sonoma County Fire District — aka, the agency in charge of protecting Healdsburg's highly flammable outskirts — is planning four more burns this week while the weather is still pretty mild. The first will be held today, out at an 11-acre ranch near Calistoga; the second is planned for tomorrow out Pine Flat Road; the third will be held Wednesday at Healdsburg's Rio Lindo Academy, in the crook of the Russian River near Digger's Bend; and the fourth is scheduled for Friday along a 15- to 25-acre ridge above Lake Sonoma. "We have partnered with Sonoma Land Trust, Audubon Canyon Ranch, and the Rio Lindo Academy to conduct these burns," district officials say. "We will also receive assistance from CAL FIRE, Calistoga Fire, South Coast Fire, the Good Fire Alliance, and the Northern Sonoma County Air Pollution Control District." Our fire district says it has burned more than 500 acres in the past year and a half, in an attempt to "reduce fuel loads and prevent future fires or at least reduce the intensity of wildfires" in the area. If you want to see what these kinds of burns look like, district officials posted some pretty great aerial footage of last week's Lake Sonoma operation online. 2. A huge RV-type trailer flipped over on the 101 through Healdsburg last Friday afternoon, causing hours of freeway delays, according to witness reports. Photos and video posted to Facebook showed the trailer lying on its side, smoking heavily and apparently blocking all southbound lanes. "That's been like that since before 2pm today," one neighbor wrote in a Facebook thread Friday. "I drove through at 3:30 and traffic was stopped." And another added: "We tried to get through at 430 to pick up our kid in Windsor but we couldn't get through or around." I haven't seen any reports of injuries — hope everyone came out OK! 3. There's a new local business in town. Trattore Farms, which produces olive oil and wine, held its official tasting-room opening in downtown Healdsburg on Friday — complete with a shiny red tractor on display at the corner of Plaza and Center streets. Their tasting room has been open for a few weeks already, but this was the formal ribbon-cutting. You can now taste both their "Rhône style wines" and olive oils, grown in the Dry Creek Valley, at 320 Center Street from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Healdsburg pic of the day:

Windsor drone photographer Tom Rennie took this pic of Healdsburg's Memorial Bridge lit up for Pride Month early this morning. However, Tom says he "learned that some of the lights went out," so he's "going for a better pic tonight." (Photo courtesy of Tom Rennie)
