Morning, good people of Healdsburg! It's me again, Simone, your host of the Healdsburg Daily. I'm in a tiny cabin in Montana right now with my best friends from college, on shaky wifi with a very distracting mountain view, so today's Labor Day Weekend edition of the Daily is gonna be an abbreviated one — local events only. (Of which there are many!)

Today's looking like kind of a slow news day in Healdsburg anyway — only thing that's catching my eye is a fire-abatement goat who got loose yesterday and was running around on Poppy Hill. Says the neighbor who spotted him: "If you’re driving up there please don’t whip around those turns!!! Not only is the goat loose but we have some families of deer that roam around and are always in the street. PLEASE be careful of our little friends." (Facebook)
