Sheriff's Patrol Car Hit By Driver Suspected of DUI
California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation of the collision that occurred in the Larkfield-Wikiup area of Sonoma County.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A Sonoma County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle was involved in a collision with a sedan, which resulted in the arrest of the sedan driver on suspicion of DUI late Monday night, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP said the collision was reported at about 11:43 p.m. near the intersection of Airport Boulevard and Old Redwood Highway in unincorporated Larkfield-Wikiup.
Neither the officer nor DUI suspect was injured. Neither was identified. The circumstances of what led up to the collision weren't immediately provided.
Attempts to reach officials with the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office were unsuccessful as of 2:30 a.m. The CHP is handling the investigation into the collision.
