Sonoma County Middle Schooler Arrested For Threatening To Shoot Classmates

Sonoma County deputies have arrested a 14-year-old for allegedly threatening to bring a gun to school & shoot students who had bullied him.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- A 14-year-old middle school student has been arrested for allegedly threatening to bring a gun to school and shoot classmates who had bullied him.

At just after 7 am on Friday, March 10, deputies from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office responded to Willowside Middle School after receiving information that a 14-year old male juvenile who attended the school made verbal threats to classmates that he was going to bring a gun on campus and shoot several students due to being bullied.

Deputies said they contacted and arrested the juvenile at his residence in Santa Rosa without incident, then transported a booked into the Sonoma County Juvenile Hall on felony and misdemeanor charges.

Detectives from the sheriff's office's Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault unit are conducting a follow-up investigation into the incident.
