Sonoma County Registrar Of Voters Makes Change To Office Hours
The change to Wednesday hours takes effect Jan. 3.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Starting Wednesday, Jan. 3, the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office will have a change in regular office hours.
Going forward, the office at 435 Fiscal Drive in Santa Rosa will close to the public at 4 p.m. on Wednesdays. Public office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
The change to Wednesday hours aligns the schedule of the Registrar of Voters Office with that of the County Clerk, Recorder and Assessor divisions, and provides staff time to work without interruption, attend meetings, participate in trainings, take courses, and allows cross-training opportunities across divisions.

Other divisions implemented the change to Wednesday hours seven years ago and it has been seen as an operational benefit.
"The change in hours open to the public will allow better collaboration between county divisions while allowing staff time to participate in trainings and meetings without having to leave to assist customers," said Deva Marie Proto, Sonoma County's clerk-recorder-assessor and registrar of voters. "Providing the same information and training to all staff is key to our organizational excellence."
