  1. An unidentified man was discovered deceased in a downtown Healdsburg parking lot Monday morning, according to the local police, with his death remaining undetermined pending an autopsy. Authorities are investigating a string of altercations, including assaults on local business employees, threats with a hammer, and a conflict involving multiple individuals who are presently assisting the police. In a bid to gather more evidence about the incident, the Healdsburg Police Department is urging anyone with information to either call their dispatch or email tips to their official address. 2. The popular swimming beach on the Russian River at Healdsburg Veterans Memorial Beach welcomed visitors starting Jun. 30, featuring suitable conditions for various water activities, as confirmed by Sonoma County Regional Parks. After three years of water flow restrictions and pandemic-related challenges, a seasonal dam was successfully installed, creating a designated swim area near the historic Memorial Bridge. The park, which offers life vests, daily lifeguard service, and free entry for Regional Parks members, is open from 7 a.m. until dusk, with paid parking available. (Healdsburg Patch)
  3. A Humvee was reported stolen from the National Guard armory in Santa Rosa Monday night, with subsequent sightings across Sonoma County, as reported by California Highway Patrol Officer Marcus Hawkins. The unidentified thief breached the armory's premises around 10:20 p.m., breaking through the gates in the stolen military truck. Last spotted near Forestville, on River Road and Wohler Road, the vehicle has notably been driven without headlights. (KRON 4)
