Jason Momoa Set for SNL Encore
Momoa last hosted SNL five years ago, in December 2018, ahead of the first Aquaman movie's release.

Filmdom's Aquaman is poised to make his second big splash on Saturday Night Live when Jason Momoa visits Studio 8H later this month.
As previously announced, Timothรฉe Chalamet - who has Wonka to not overtly promote, unless the SAG-AFTRA strike gets resolved in the next six days - will make his own second appearance as SNL host this Saturday, Nov. 11, alongside musical guest boygenius.
Momoa will then host the Nov. 18 SNL, with Tate McRae making her debut as musical guest debut.
Momoa last hosted SNL five years ago, in December 2018, ahead of the first Aquaman movie's release; a couple of the sketches he appeared in involved reprising his Game of Thrones character Khal Drogo (watch video above) andโฆ twerking for Ebenezer Scrooge.

This time around, Momoa has Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom to maybe possibly promote, seeing as it hits theaters on Dec. 22.
SNL has been on a bit of a ratings roll this season. The premiere, hosted by Pete Davidson and featuring musical guest Ice Spice, delivered 4.8 million viewers and a 0.96 in the coveted 18-49 demo (in Live+Same Day numbers), up 19% and 31% from last year's opener and marking the long-running sketch comedy series' best demo delivery for a season premiere since 2020.

Most recently, the Oct. 28 outing hosted by host Nate Bargatze with musical guest Foo Fighters drew 4.9 million total viewers - marking the most-watched SNL since Dec. 10, 2022 (hosted by Steve Martin and Martin Short).
