Oscars In Photos: The 2022 Academy Award Nominations Are In

HOLLYWOOD, CA — The nominations are in for the 2022 Oscars. Hosts Tracee Ellis Ross and Leslie Jordan announced the nominees Tuesday for all 23 categories of the 94th annual Academy Awards.

Netflix's film "The Power of the Dog" scored the most nominations with 12 in categories, including Best Director nominee Jane Campion, Best Actor nominee Benedict Cumberbatch and Best Picture. Other films that scooped up plenty of nominations included "Dune," "Being the Ricardos" and "King Richard."

The award nominations weren't without controversy. Most notably in the Best Actress and Supporting Actress category, both Lady Gaga's portrayal as Patrizia Reggiani in "The House of Gucci" and Ruth Negga's performance as Clare Bellew in "Passing" were both overlooked in the nominations.

After forgoing a host for the last couple of years, the Academy Awards will finally have a host again for this year's awards ceremony, although that is still to be determined. The Academy Awards will air on March 27 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m PT on ABC.
