12 Theft Suspects Caught Mid-Shoplifting In RivCo: Cops
Riverside County Sheriff's Department deputies focused on this strip mall and arrested 12 people from across the Inland Empire.

EASTVALE, CA — The Riverside County Sheriff's Department law enforcement officers and members of the Eastvale Special Enforcement Team made multiple arrests last week to break up retail store thefts near Limonite Avenue at the end of May.
Loss Prevention personnel, working with officers and the sheriff's department, focused on halting retail thefts in the busy shopping district at the 12500 block of Limonite Avenue in the city of Eastvale, according to Sgt. Vanessa Rodriguez.
"The operation was designed to proactively address retail theft and ensure the safety and well-being of both businesses and shoppers in the area," she said.

Twelve people were observed stealing merchandise, and suspect was apprehended and arrested without incident. The majority of shoplifting suspects, charged with taking less than $950 worht of merchandise, were released on $5,000 bond, and all are due to appear in court on July 16.
The following is a list of persons arrested during the operation:

- Jennifer Azarcon, a 32-year-old resident of Ontario, was arrested on suspicion of grand theft.
- Cory Auzminski, a 29-year-old resident of Jurupa Valley, was arrested on suspicion of petty theft with priors, violation of probation, and shoplifting.
- Andrea May, a 27-year-old resident of Jurupa Valley, was arrested on suspicion of petty theft with priors, violation of probation, and shoplifting. She was being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center, and awaiting a June 3 court date.
- Cuauhtemoc Chavarria, a 46-year-old resident of Ontario, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and conspiracy. He was out on a $5,000 bond, wiht a court date of July 16.
- Josue Fernando Pitones Gasca, a 42-year-old resident of Ontario, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and conspiracy. He was being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center on $5,000 bail, awaiting a July 16 court date.
- Mark Osorio, a 30-year-old resident of Jurupa Valley, was arrested on suspicion of violation of probation, drug charges, and shoplifting.
- Justin Torres, a 27-year-old resident of Riverside, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.
- Renso Bisso, a 49-year-old resident of Ontario, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.
- Teressa Chu, a 71-year-old resident of Ontario, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.
- Shakti, (no given name), a 27-year-old resident of Rancho Cucamonga, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing on May 23 and cited with a misdemeanor petty theft. He was out on $5,000 bond, and due in court in August.
- Raymond Hernandez, a 30-year-old resident of Fontana, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.
- Alex Hernandez, a 19-year-old resident of Jurupa Valley, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.
This effort highlights the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office and the city of Eastvale’s continued commitment to addressing theft-related crimes that negatively impact our local businesses and community, according to Rodriguez.
"Retail theft operations like this are also supported by legislative efforts such as Proposition 36," she wrote in a news release. "It’s important to note that individuals who commit retail theft are subject to arrest and prosecution. Operations like this one are critical in addressing repeat offenders and deterring organized retail crime, while also working with the framework of existing laws to promote both accountability and rehabilitation where appropriate. The Eastvale Special Enforcement Team remains dedicated to creating a safe environment so that residents and visitors alike can enjoy their shopping experience in the city of Eastvale."
