Wildland Fire Reported In Lake Elsinore

LAKE ELSINORE, CA -- A wildland fire erupted Monday afternoon in Lake Elsinore. The fire was reported around 3:43 p.m. at Lakeview Avenue and Manning Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The fire, which was visible from the freeway, was about half an acre and forced the shutdown of nearby streets.

At 4:05 p.m., officials reported the forward-progress of the fire stopped.

Crews are expected to be on scene for another hour.
