San Diego County Assessor Jordan Marks to offer `Halloweddings,’ Halloween-themed wedding ceremonies, Oct. 31

A hauntingly romantic marriage ARCC ceremony awaits you and your boo this Halloween at the County Administration Center, Downtown San Diego

The San Diego County Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk (ARCC) will offer special Halloween-themed wedding ceremonies, billed as “Halloweddings,” from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31 at its Downtown office at the County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego. Walk-in services are available with no appointment required. Free underground parking is available at the entrance on Ash Street.

“You can have a hauntingly romantic marriage ceremony for you and your boo this Halloween,” said Jordan Marks, San Diego County ARCC. “Getting married doesn’t have to be scary expensive. Come to my Downtown waterfront office for a memorable Halowedding this Halloween as you say, `till death do you part.’”

Cost for a marriage license is $129. Cost is $107 for a civil ceremony in English or Spanish and officiated by ARCC staff who will be dressed in Halloween attire. For more information, call (619) 236-3771 or visit www.sdarcc.gov.

The ARCC office is responsible for issuing marriage licenses, birth and death certificates, as well as registering business names and recording all legal real estate documents. On average, the ARCC office provides nearly 25,000 marriage licenses and performs more than 11,000 weddings annually. About half of the customers who request a marriage license also hold their wedding ceremonies at the ARCC’s office.

The San Diego County ARCC office, with more than 450 employees and five offices, is the fifth largest assessor jurisdiction in the U.S. Marks, a countywide elected official, has ushered in award-winning community outreach and education programs that has resulted in record-high property tax relief saving millions of dollars for veterans, homeowners and seniors. He was awarded the 2024 San Diego County Taxpayers Association Watchdog award for saving taxpayers millions of dollars in property taxes. He is a California Certified Property Tax Appraiser, a California licensed attorney and a certified cybersecurity executive from the University of San Diego.
