Man Shot And Killed In Long Beach: Homicide Investigation Underway
An investigation is ongoing, police say.
LONG BEACH, CA — A man died after being shot in Long Beach on Monday evening, prompting a homicide investigation, police say.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2300 block of East Artesia Boulevard just before 7:30 p.m., the Long Beach Police Department said.
After arriving, officers found a man with a life-threatening injury, police said.

Long Beach Fire Department rescuers took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The suspect fled before officers arrived, police said, adding that an investigation is ongoing.
