Contra Costa County Library is excited to introduce our new Celebrate Diversity webpage, dedicated to highlighting our collections and resources to help you find just what you’re looking for.

This page features staff-curated booklists, blog posts, upcoming events and celebrations, various digital resources, and more, reflecting the beautiful and boundless diversity found in our communities.

After creating numerous booklists and culturally centered library events and celebrations to reflect the many communities we serve; it quickly became apparent that finding these great resources on our website wasn’t so easy to do. As library users ourselves, we wanted to make it easier for all library patrons to access our materials and resources. Whether searching for inclusive books for rainbow families, researching the rich history of Black Life in America, or simply looking for the next great read, the Celebrate Diversity page is the place to find it all.

We will continue to add resources to this page, and we hope you find as much joy in discovering this content as we have in compiling it.
