Roads Closed Due To Flooding Reopened In Marin County: Police
Record-breaking King Tides combined with heavy rainfall have caused flooding across the County.
MARIN COUNTY, CA — Police issued a warning Monday afternoon that the three roads closed due to flooding in Marin County have been reopened.
The Central Marin Police Department sent out an alert stating that as of 4:20 p.m. all roadways have been reopened.
Earlier that day, the CMPD sent out an alert stating Lucky Drive, Fifer Avenue and Doherty Drive at Redwood High School in Larkspur were flooded and remain closed.

Police said significant traffic delays expected and to use alternate routes until further notice.
Rains are predicted to continue through the day, according to the NWS, and closures will likely last through the late afternoon.

Record-breaking King Tides combined with heavy rainfall caused a 15-mile section of roadway between Sausalito and San Rafael to flood. King Tides, which are caused by a stronger gravitational pull when the sun, moon, and Earth align with the moon closest to Earth, were at unprecedented levels.

U.S. Congressman Jared Huffman visited flooded areas in Marin County with local leaders Monday to witness the damage among calls for better infrastructure, saying storms and high tides are not future risks; they are already here.
