City Swears-In New Council, Appoints Mayor on Tuesday

Outgoing council members Laura Macias and Tom Means will receive resolutions of appreciation.

The results of a democratic process will be evident at the regular session of the City Council Tuesday when two new members get sworn in.

Chris Clark and John McAlister will join Mike Kasperzak, John Inks, Ronit Bryant, Margaret Abe-Koga and John Siegel on the seven-member City Council, adding two fresh perspectives. City Clerk Lorrie Brewer will administer the oath.

And termed out after eight years on council, Laura Macias and Tom Means will step down. Both will receive resolutions from the city for their contributions.

Mountain View will also get a new mayor. The new mayor, elected by the presiding City Council from one of its members, is expected to be John Inks.

The session starts at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
