Polyvore's New CRO, Celebrities in Tech and Vivus' New Crib
A look at the ways Mountain View companies have made news recently.

Polyvore, located at 100 View Ave., recently announced that Arnie Gullov-Singh would join the fashionista team. As the new chief revenue officer, Gullov-Singh will help monetize Polyvore’s fast growing user base. He has 13 years of experience under his belt. Polyvore lets users create collages of products they love that link back to where people can shop.
"We’re thrilled to have Arnie onboard," said CEO Jess Lee. "His background scaling both brand advertising and direct response advertising platforms is perfect for Polyvore. Polyvore is unique in that it drives both brand awareness and retail sales through integrated advertising formats that delight our users.”
Polyvore also revealed new numbers about the company in an infographic, sharing for the first time its internal statistics on social sharing, demographics and revenue.

Celebrities can be spotted around Silicon Valley as some invest in local startups, including . But within the local companies, several employees have proved themselves to be rock stars in their own right.
That's the case with Google's Shiva Rajaraman, according to Business Insider's 13 Secret Rock Stars Of Silicon Valley. Rajaraman has been credited with spreading the reach of YouTube to platforms as diverse as the iPad, iPhone, Xbox and of course, Android.

But other Mountain View notables include LinkedIn's Ryan Roslansky, who directs the professional media site's content products; Quora's Sandra Liu Huang; Fenwick & West's Sam Angus—yes, a lawyer—for their representation of startups; and Mozilla's engineering manager Laura Thompson.
Obesity and erectile dysfunction—these are two different products—drugmaker Vivus is moving from 1172 Castro St. to 351 E. Evelyn Ave., according to the Silicon Valley Business Journal. That's an increase of 27,240 feet, from 18,000 to 45,240 at $31.20 per sq. ft. Significant growth for a local company that helps you make get smaller and bigger.
