Multiple Sonoma County Roadways Closed By Flooding

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Several roads were closed by flooding Thursday in Sonoma County, which, along with the North Bay, is under a National Weather Service flood watch through Saturday night.
Forecasters expect the North Bay to receive 2-3 inches of rain through Friday.
Thursday morning in Sonoma County, flooding closed state Highway 121 in two places. The California Highway Patrol reported shortly after 10 a.m. that SR 121 was closed at 8th Street East and the roundabout at State Highway 116.

Flooding was also reported Thursday morning at Skillman Lane and Fair Avenue in Petaluma, at Valley Ford and Bloomfield Road, and on Lakeville Highway south of Browns Lane.
According to the county of Sonoma, roads closed by flooding Thursday morning also included Green Valley Road in Sebastopol, Todd Road in Sebastopol, Mark West Station Road at Starr Road in Windsor, Valley Ford Freestone Road in Bodega and Eastside Road in Forestville.

The county was showing a live stream of the flooding on Green Valley Road.
Forecasters said flooding of urban and small streams was especially likely Thursday night into Friday morning.
