Frost Advisory Extended For North Bay

Temperatures as low as 35 degrees will result in frost formation, according to the National Weather Service.

NORTH BAY, CA — The National Weather Service extended a frost advisory for the North Bay.

The frost advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Monday for the Sonoma coastal range, North Bay interior mountains and North Bay interior valleys. The advisory was initially set to expire at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Temperatures as low as 35 degrees will result in frost formation, according to the NWS. Forecasters advised residents to protect people, pets, plants and pipes from the cold.

"These temperatures will be hazardous to sensitive populations such as unhoused individuals," forecasters said.

The NWS told residents to take steps to protect tender plants from the cold, because frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.
