Full-Scale Emergency Response Exercise Set For Friday In Napa County
The public should note that the exercise will take place at various, clearly marked locations throughout the county.
NAPA COUNTY, CA — The Napa County Office of Emergency Services, in coordination with state and local emergency response agencies, will conduct a "full-scale exercise" this Friday to test and enhance the community’s preparedness and response capabilities in the event of an intentional Mass Casualty Incident, or MCI.
The training exercise involves emergency responders, hospitals, law enforcement and other public safety agencies working together in a realistic, simulated scenario. Participants will include role players acting as victims and casualties, alongside first responders engaging in coordinated response activities. While the event is a simulation, every effort will be made to ensure it appears as realistic as possible.
The public should note that the exercise will take place at various, clearly marked locations throughout the county Friday, March 7, primarily during the daytime hours. Emergency response activities may result in temporary disruptions in some areas. Residents are advised to avoid designated exercise zones.
