Holiday Candlelight Walking Tour Celebrates Napa's Rich Architecture

NAPA, CA — Napa County Landmarks is preparing to host the 32nd Annual Holiday Candlelight Walking Tour from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.

For this year's tour, the nonprofit group invites guests to explore heritage homes and architectural gems between First and Third Streets, predominantly to the west of Jefferson Street, decorated and illuminated for the holiday season.

After checking in at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1917 Third St., guests can meander through this self-guided journey, letting the holiday spirit envelop them with live music performances — groups to be announced — and delicious seasonal treats.

Open houses are highlighted on Seymour, First and Third streets and include the Craftsman-style Blackbird Inn, the Finch Guest House, and the mid-century, modern-era Turnbull Hall at St. Mary's — the site of a festive reception for this cherished Napa holiday event.

For over three decades, the popular event has celebrated the season's festivities while also honoring preservation-minded Napa property owners and their historic properties.

Tickets for the Holiday Candlelight Walking Tour can be purchased online at Eventbrite. General admission costs $40 if paid online prior to the event, $35 for Napa County Landmarks members, or $45 if paid the day of the event.

In addition to a reception, silent auction and live entertainment, each ticket covers the cost of:

— A detailed brochure exploring the rich history of the featured homes;
— Photographs capturing the essence of each historic structure; and
— A comprehensive neighborhood map to guide your tour.
