Napa Ballroom Dancers Kick Up Some Fun: Photos

The Napa Senior Center was hoping and bopping recently as the enthusiastic Napa Ballroom Dancers took to the immaculate wood dance floor.

NAPA - The Napa Senior Center was hoping and bopping recently as the enthusiastic Napa Ballroom Dancers took to the immaculate wood floor for their monthly dance and lessons.

Dressed in Roaring 20's threads the center was packed with Dick Jensen and Edna Lucero dance instructors teaching the Charleston dance step followed by Steve Luther spinning a variety of dance music for everything from West Coast Swing, Cha Cha to Waltz.

Dick and Edna's Balboa Dance Team also performed.

The Napa Ballroom Dancers has about 100 members according to president Bob Peterson however, you do not have to be a member to come and take lessons and participate.

There are monthly dances with invited dance instructors with a cover charge at the door.

The next event is May 14th with the Bob Gutierrez Band providing the dance music and Angelina Lucia teaching the Cha Cha with couples, singles and beginning and experienced dancers and all ages welcomed.

Peterson pointed out that The Napa Ballroom Dancers will celebrate their 50th Anniversary on July 9th.

Stephan Dean will teach a slow dance Nightclub Two Step and The Jack Party of Four band will provide the music for the extravaganza.
