Napa County's 'Pope Fire' Is 80 Percent Contained

A wildfire burning near the Napa County communities of Angwin and St. Helena is being held at 61 acres.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — A smokey wildfire burning near the Napa County communities of Angwin and St. Helena was holding at 61 acres and was 80 percent contained. The fire sparked Friday and grew 67 acres overnight, a Cal Fire spokesman said.

The Pope Fire was first reported about 4 p.m. Friday near Lower Chiles Valley Road and Chiles Pope Valley Road.

No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened as of Sunday morning, Cal Fire said.
