Napa Humane Launches Annual Pet Photo Contest For 2026 Calendar

Pet parents and besties can help raise money for Napa Humane services and see a furry (or fuzzy) friend in print.

NAPA VALLEY — Napa Humane is calling animal lovers to enter their favorite pet in the organization's annual pet photo contest, which begins Sept. 1.

Pet parents and besties are invited to submit a photo of their beloved dog, cat, or rabbit and rally friends and family to vote.

Winning pets will be featured in the organization's 2026 calendar. The top vote-getter will be featured on the cover.

Each dollar donated equals one vote, with every entry and vote supporting Napa Humane’s programs.

The funds help pay for affordable vaccinations, spaying and neutering surgeries, and education programs provided by Napa Humane, which is made up of the the Humane Society of Napa County and SPCA.

Contest Highlights:
 Entry Fee: $40 per pet photo, which includes a complimentary 2026 Napa Humane
Calendar.
 13 Winners: The overall top fundraiser earns the cover spot, while the top vote-getters in
each category (five dogs, five cats, and two rabbits) will be featured as Pets of the Month.
 Prize Packs: The #1 dog, cat, and rabbit will each win a professional pet photoshoot,
Napa Humane goodies, and treats from local businesses.
 Every Entrant Wins: All pets entered will appear in the collage pages, and each entry
includes a calendar.
 Reserve a Day: $15 to feature your pet on a specific calendar date (does not include a
calendar).
 Purchase a Calendar: 2026 Napa Humane Calendars may also be purchased separately for
$35.
“Each entry is more than a photo—it’s a gift that helps local pets thrive,” said Wendi Piscia,
Executive Director of Napa Humane, in an email. “This contest celebrates our community’s love for animals while raising vital funds for the programs that keep pets healthy and families together.”
