Napa Lighted Art Festival Opens Soon

The walkable outdoor experience is free for the whole family. Check out 10 lighted sculptures, plus projections onto three iconic buildings.

NAPA, CA — The Napa Lighted Art Festival returns soon to Downtown Napa.

The walkable outdoor experience runs Jan. 20- Feb. 18. The festival is a celebration of creative arts, technology and lights, and supports innovative techniques using light and light technologies as a growing art medium.

The free event, which is presented by City of Napa Hotels and Inns, features 10 lighted art sculptures for five weeks. For the first nine nights, Jan. 20-Jan. 28, artwork is projected onto three iconic downtown buildings.

The festival runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday nights and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday nights. Bring the family and experience the magic of lighted art at the 2024 Napa Lighted Art Festival.

Meet the artists from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at Aerena Gallery, 600 Main St. in Napa. Learn more about the artists and their artwork in person. Several of the artists will be visiting the festival and will be available for a more intimate perspective into their background, artistic process, the story behind their installation and any other questions guests might have for them.

Lantern Parade Needs You

The Napa Lighted Art Festival Lantern Parade is planned for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at Oxbow Commons Park, 1268 McKinstry St.

The family-friendly "art after dark" experience takes place in Downtown Napa. This short half-mile loop starting and finishing at Oxbow Commons Park is energized by live music and the featured artists: community members.

All are invited to participate and create unique lanterns to carry on the parade route. Lantern designs are to be inspired by creativity and are encouraged to be uplifting and imaginative. A lantern creation station is open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m before the parade.

Psst: Register for a lantern-making workshop Saturday, Feb. 3 or Wednesday, Feb. 7.

This is a free public event for all ages. Strollers are OK but no bikes are allowed.
