NSIB Seizes 3 Pounds Of Cocaine, 5 Guns In Search Of Vallejo Residence

Those were not the only items seized by the Napa Special Investigations Bureau.

NAPA COUNTY, CA —A man is facing charges in two counties after the Napa Special Investigations Bureau served a search warrant last week at his residence and found drugs, cash and several firearms, the Napa County Sheriff's Office said.

Napa law enforcement first came into contact with 28-year-old Vallejo native Joseph Collins last month when the Napa Police Department was conducting a patrol for drunk drivers and saw him speeding.

When stopped by officers, he was found with seven baggies, each of which contained a gram of suspected cocaine, the sheriff's office said.

The Napa Special Investigations Bureau — NSIB— which investigates drug trafficking and human trafficking in Napa County, began a follow-up investigation on Collins which included obtaining a search warrant for his residence in Vallejo.

It is alleged that during the search conducted Tuesday, Feb. 4, NSIB found three pounds of cocaine, packaging material, scales, cash, a money counter, MDMA powder and psilocybin mushrooms.

It is alleged Collins was also in possession of five firearms and multiple high-capacity magazines.

The sheriff's office said Monday that charges were being filed on Collins in both Napa and Solano counties.
