Police Arrest Person Of Interest In Napa Murder
Police arrested a man on Friday who the Napa Police Department named as a person of interest in the suspected homicide of a 47-year-old man.
Police arrested a man on Friday who the Napa Police Department named as a person of interest in the suspected homicide of a 47-year-old man whose body was found on July 3.
Noel Batres, a Napa resident, was found deceased under the Third Street Napa River Bridge, near Soscol Avenue, by Napa Police officers who had been called by someone who reported seeing an unresponsive person.
The death was investigated as a homicide. At one point, investigators asked for any information about Batres' whereabouts between June 27 and when he was found.

On Friday, police publicly identified 36-year-old Ramiro Ochoa Mendoza as a person of interest and sought his arrest.
Mendoza was found later that day after a tip brought police to the 800 block of West Imola Avenue.

He was taken into custody and booked on murder allegations. He is being held without bail as he awaits formal charges by the Napa County District Attorney's Office.
