Scam Alert From St. Helena Police Department

"If there is a question about who is calling, please hang up and dial our non-emergency number."

ST. HELENA, CA — The city of St. Helena warned residents Friday of a scam involving someone impersonating members of the St. Helena Police Department.

Police were informed Friday evening that several locals received phone calls from someone who claimed to be a detective and lieutenant with the St. Helena Police Department.

The caller ID shows the call is coming from the St. Helena Police Department because the scammer is spoofing the police department's non-emergency number, 707-967-2850, police said.
