Teen Wounded In Shooting In Napa
Preliminary information suggests the incident may be gang-related, authorities said.
NAPA, CA — A 15-year-old was shot in the ankle on Sunday evening at Old Sonoma Road at Freeway Drive, police said. The victim, a Napa resident, was treated at Queen of the Valley Hospital and later released.
The shooting occurred at around 6:46 p.m., according to the Napa police.
The suspects were described as two males with dark clothing, and one was armed with a handgun, a press release issued Monday said.

Napa Sheriff deputies and patrol officers immediately searched the area for the victims. During the search, police pursued a man matching the suspects' description through the parking lot of Harvest Middle School, police said.
After a brief chase, he was detained in a nearby backyard but was later determined not to be connected to the shooting. However, he was arrested on unrelated charges, per authorities.
