Thousands Greet Bernie Sanders In Vallejo: Images

Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders caps his full day of Bay Area campaigning on Wednesday with a rally in Vallejo.

VALLEJO - Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders capped his full day of Bay Area campaigning on Wednesday with a rally in Vallejo, appearing before thousands of North Bay residents.

"The reason that this campaign is doing so well is a pretty simple one and that is we are telling the truth," Sanders said.

Sanders came to the Bay Area ahead of the state primary election on June 7, when he hopes to grab the 475 California delegates that could help him win the Democratic Presidential nomination.

Earlier in the day in San Jose, Sanders told another large crowd he was in favor of raising the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour, building a health care system under Medicare that benefits all, closing the gender pay gap, guaranteeing paid family and medical leave and imposing taxes on people in Wall Street according to BCN.

Sanders also called for free tuition at public schools and universities, and he he is supportive of a California ballot measure to legalize marijuana.
