Veterans Day Ceremony Planned In American Canyon
Napa County Veterans Services Officer, retired U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Dell Pratt, is the keynote speaker.
AMERICAN CANYON, CA — Veterans Day occurs every year on Nov. 11 in honor of the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918, which signaled the end of World War I.
From 11 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Nov. 11, the community of American Canyon will hold a Veterans Day Ceremony at the American Canyon Middle School Gymnasium, 100 Benton Way in American Canyon.
The ceremony will feature a keynote address from retired U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Dell Pratt, who serves as Napa County's Veteran Services Officer. Pratt served over 30 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a chief master sergeant. He is a veteran of the Gulf War with numerous deployments. In his role as Napa County's Veterans Services officer, he connects veterans and family members to veterans’ benefits. He was promoted to the position in December 2019 after serving two years as Napa County's Veterans Services representative.
