Weekend At A Winery: See The Vineyards Sidecar-Style In Napa & Sonoma
Sidecar Tours, an outfit that ferries guests in tandem sidecars to California wineries, expands growing fleet in Napa & Sonoma Valleys.
NAPA & SONOMA VALLEYS, CA — Sidecar Tours, a California company that realized a motorcycle sidecar rejiggered for two could be a thriving, wine country venture, is growing its touring operation in Napa and Sonoma.
"Sidecar Tours is thrilled to be launching in Napa and Sonoma, two of the most iconic and beautiful wine regions in the country,” said Anthony Bennett, CEO of the Temecula-based company that now operates in nearly 20 cities. “We have looked forward to having a presence in these areas since we began the business."
With guides in charge, passengers helmet-up and settle into their sidecars for tours that include scenic views, history background and little-known area tidbits, plus stops at wineries or distilleries.

The latest Napa route begins and ends at Napa Valley Distillery, and travels to Vinoce & Twenty Rows, WALT Wines and Vintner's Collective.
The recently launched Sonoma route begins and ends at Viansa Sonoma Winery & Tasting Room, and visits Homewood Winery, Robledo Family Winery and Cline Family Cellars.

"Our experience in Temecula and other popular wine destinations has laid a great framework for this launch," Bennett said.
Founded in 2018, Sidecar Tours began in Temecula, where owners saw a unique opportunity to appeal to locals and tourists by creating "the world’s first and only fleet of tandem sidecars," officials said.
In addition to Temecula, the business also operates in such California wine regions as Julian-Ramona, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, San Louis Obispo, San Ynez and San Diego, plus Baja, Mexico.
Tours start at $199/person for the winery tour, and $99/person for a scenic tour. GoPro photo and video packages can be added for $100.
