“As sisters-in-law, holiday traditions have always been a big part of our families, and we’ve always loved decorating for the holidays and planning gatherings. When we discovered pumpkin concierge services in other areas, we realized it was the perfect way to bring the joy of fall to our community and celebrate the harvest season,” Bernd told Patch.

Welcome Pumpkin was founded by two North Bay mothers, Jacqueline Bernd and Kirsten Guanella, who share a passion for seasonal decorating. Juggling families, work, and busy schedules, they understand the difficulty of finding time to create a warm and inviting seasonal atmosphere at home. This led them to establish Welcome Pumpkin, aiming to bring the magic of fall to North Bay homes effortlessly.

“We’ve had so many memorable displays because every porch, event space and business is unique. A recent favorite was our display at Fishetarian in Bodega Bay, it was such a treat to work by the coast, and while waiting for our food, we got to watch customers stop, take photos, and admire the setup,” Guanella told Patch. “It was a wonderful reminder of how much joy our work brings to others.

Welcome Pumpkin provides various pumpkin packages, each designed to suit different requirements and locations. All packages include delivery, design, and an optional post-season pickup, guaranteeing a hassle-free experience.

“Many clients choose it as their first-year display. Often, people want more and more pumpkins the following year, after all, you can never have too many,” Guanella told Patch. “People are often surprised by how many pumpkins it takes to create a beautiful cascading effect down stairs or the generous piles flanking entryways. We also get many requests for hay bales, which we love because they add height and texture, especially for porches without steps.”

Who knows, maybe one day they will expand to other seasons or holidays but for now they are staying focused on the fall.

“It allows us to fully enjoy the holidays with our families. While we don’t have plans to expand into other holidays, we would love to collaborate with more businesses and potentially grow into other regions in the future,” Bernd told Patch.
