99 Degree Temps Expected, Heat Advisory Issued For Northridge

Northridge is expected to stay just under 100 degrees Monday as parts of Los Angeles County reach 105 degrees.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Northridge is expected to stay just under 100 degrees Monday as parts of the Los Angeles County reach 105 degrees.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for the Los Angeles County mountains, Santa Clarita Valley, Santa Monica Mountains, San Fernando Valley and San Gabriel Valley Monday. Temperatures in these areas will range from 95-105 degrees.

The hear advisory was set to expire at 7 p.m. Monday.

Residents are advised to wear light-weight clothing, drink water and take frequent breaks in the shade, NWS said.

Northridge residents will see a high of 99 degrees with the ultraviolet index reaching an extreme 11, according to AccuWeather. Some clouds will provide relief from the sun.
