Motorist Who Died in Northridge Crash ID'd

The crash was reported about 1 a.m. Saturday on Lindley Avenue, just north of Chase Street, according to the LAPD.

NORTHRIDGE, CA -- Authorities have identified a motorist who was killed when his SUV crashed into a tree and burst into flames in Northridge.

Nathan Knox, 34, died at the scene, police said Feb. 12. His hometown was not known.

The crash was reported about 1 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 on Lindley Avenue just north of Chase Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
