Patch.com Goes to Pioneer Day

The 20th annual event draws hundreds to Chatsworth's historic Homestead Acre.

Hundreds crowded the historic Homestead Acre for Pioneer Day. 

Some poked through items on the White Elephant sale table looking for gold. Others were panning for gold. Some youngsters were scrubbing on washboards last Sunday, just like their grandmothers did.

The blacksmith was busy smithing.  And the arts and crafts were crafty.  The spinning wheel was spinning.  The band was playing.  The frankfurters were sizzling.

The Chatsworth Historical Society's chili cook-off was hot.  Nina Austin took top honors followed by a bubbling kettle from Yorks & Lancs Automotive and finally a tasty entry from Tim Imel.

Inside the History Museum, tales of the Iverson Movie Ranch were unreeled.
