Palm Springs Art Museum Hosts Art Auction Benefit Preview
Peter Loughrey, Director of Modern Design and Fine Art at LA Modern Auctions, will partner with PSAM to Raise an estimated $375K-$550K.

Continuing its fruitful relationship with the Palm Springs art market, Los Angeles Modern Auctions (LAMA), the premier auction house on the West Coast for Modern and Contemporary Art & Design, will include 70 modern art and design lots on behalf of the Palm Springs Art Museum at its upcoming auction on March 5, 2017 in Van Nuys, Calif. The proceeds raised from this portion of the auction will benefit the acquisition and exhibition programs for Palm Springs Art Museum.

Offering Palm Springs residents the opportunity to view these art and design pieces in advance, Peter Loughrey, Director of Modern Design and Fine Art, who has also moonlighted at PBS’Antiques Roadshow resident Modern Art Expert for 13 years, will host a one-day preview at Palm Springs Art Museum.

Included in the lots hitting the block in March, will be an impressive painting by contemporary artist Rob Pruitt titled Death Valley, two iconic bronze sculptures by Robert Graham, and an important painting by Jean-Paul Riopelle will be offered on behalf of the Museum.
