From Firecracker Run to Fireworks, Here's Your Pleasant Hill Fourth of July Schedule

Pleasant Hill 4th of July Activities
7:55 a.m.—8th Annual Firecracker 5K Fun Run
Fun Run on Crescent Dr. Starts with a kids 7 and under 100 yard dash followed by the Fun Run. Proceeds will benefit Pleasant Hill schools.

9:30 – 10:30—AM Parade
Starts at Woodsworth Lane and Contra Costa Blvd. Continues south o Contra Costa to Crescent Dr., and proceeds down Crescent to Boyd, turns right and finishes at Cleveland Rd. Our 2013 Grand Marshal is Jim Alkire.
10:30 – 1:30 p.m.—Party in the Park
Live Entertainment, music, clowns, watermelon eating contest, games for the kids, and fun activities for all ages. Food is available from Back Forty Texas BBQ.
6:30 - 10 p.m.—Music, Food & Fireworks at College Park High School
Join your friends and neighbors for fireworks. Come early to get your spot on the field at College Park HS, 201 Viking Drive. Enjoy food from Slow Hand BBQ and Cold Stone Creamery beginning at 6:30 p.m. and music from local favorite, Cover2Cover.
*Road closure notices from the Pleasant Hill Police Department:
On the morning of July 4th from 6 a.m. to Noon their will be a Fun Run and Parade in the Downtown area. To accommodate these events the Pleasant Hill Police will be making detours and road closures in and around the Downtown area. Roadway effected will be Contra Costa Bl, Woodsworth Ln, Gregory Ln, S/B I-680 Gregory Ln off ramp, Crescent Dr & Plz, Boyd Rd and collecting roadways. Motorist should expect significant traffic delays in and around the Downtown area.
In the evening from 07:00 PM to 11:30 PM a fireworks display will occur between Diablo Valley College and College Park High School. To accommodate the fireworks the Pleasant Hill Police will be making detours and road closures in and around DVC and CPHS. Roadways effected will be Ruth Dr, Viking Dr. Paso Nogal Rd, Golf Club Rd, Norse Dr, Civic Dr, Taylor Bl, Morello Av and collecting roadways. Motorist should expect significant traffic delays in and around DVC and CPHS.
