SAN DIEGO, CA — Five years after disgraced ex-Congressman Duncan Hunter was granted a full pardon from President Donald Trump, he's seeking a presidential pardon for another convicted felon from San Diego, according to a report by the San Diego Union-Tribune.
The former Republican congressman is using his remaining political influence to lobby Trump to pardon Raymond Liddy, the son of infamous Watergate figure G. Gordon Liddy.
Hunter is working to secure a pardon for Liddy, who was convicted in 2020 of possessing child pornography, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

A federal disclosure filed late last year revealed Tommy Marquez Consulting, a Texas-based government affairs firm, submitted the lobbying report, the U-T reported. Hunter was listed as a consultant to the company.
Hunter, a San Diego native, pleaded guilty to misusing campaign funds for personal expenses. Trump pardoned Hunter in December 2020, weeks before he was set to begin an 11-month prison sentence.
