San Leandro Police To Hold Free Community Safety Event
The San Leandro Police Dept. will hold a "United 4 Safety: BBQ & Badges" community event from 10 am-2 pm Aug. 27 at police headquarters.

SAN LEANDRO, CA -- The San Leandro Police Dept. is holding a "United 4 Safety: BBQ and Badges" community event from 10 am-2 pm Aug. 27 at police headquarters, 901 E. 14th St.
The free event includes hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ, activities for kids, cotton candy, popcorn, carnival games, prizes and more.
Attendees can also check out police equipment and police cars and motorcycles, as well as a SWAT Truck. A drone demo is scheduled for 11:30 am. McGruff the Crime Fighting Dog is also expected to take photos with kids.
