San Leandro Schools: Free COVID-19 Testing Site
The clinic is open 4 days a week for district students, staff and families.
SAN LEANDRO, CA —The San Leandro Unified School District will open a free COVID-19 testing clinic to district students, staff and families Thursday in partnership with the Native American Health Center.
In response to a rise in COVID-19 case numbers, center officials wanted to expand the testing and vaccination services they provide for the public to reach school children and their families in San Leandro.
"This pandemic continues to disproportionally affect our most at-risk families, and our teachers and school staff," said Eulalia Valerio, the center's member services director. "We are delighted to join the fight to keep our schools open and safe."

Located directly across the street from San Leandro High School, the clinic will provide 500 walk-up PCR tests daily to anyone with district-affiliated identification, such as a student or staff ID card. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
"The staff at Native American Health Center have always surpassed our expectations in providing support and services for our students and families over these past many years," district superintendent Mike McLaughlin said in a statement. "We are so grateful to them yet again for their collaboration to allow us to provide this essential service to keep our school communities safe."
