SAN LEANDRO, CA — Police say they're seeking the public's help identifying a suspect in connection with a hate crime in San Leandro on Wednesday morning.

The suspect was caught on camera setting fire to a pride flag outside a gay couple's home in San Leandro, according to authorities and a report by KRON4.

“We were very lucky that we’d had some recent rain and that the fire did not spread to the house,” the couple told KRON4 last week. “I’m saddened that this is an issue even here in the bubble of Bay Area.”
