Registration Still Open For San Ramon's 40th Anniversary Light Parade
The parade is open to all families, neighborhood groups and businesses.
SAN RAMON, CA — It's not to late for those wishing to enter a float, group or vehicle into San Ramon's 40th Anniversary Light Parade, to do so, the city of San Ramon said.
The event, open to all families, neighborhood groups and businesses to come together and celebrate San Ramon, will accept entries for the parade through 5 p.m. on Oct. 22, the city said in a news release about the parade.
"Light up the night with this evening birthday-themed LIGHT parade, stretching along Camino Ramon to Bishop Drive," the city said. "Dancers, illuminated floats, bands, auto clubs, and entertainment will make this a luminescent birthday celebration for the whole San Ramon community."

For those participating in the Nov. 4 parade a mandatory meeting will be held Oct. 26 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the San Ramon Community Center's Terrace Room, 12501 Alcosta Boulevard. Marching order and other details will be provided at the meeting, according to the news release.
"All entries must have a representative attend this in-person meeting," the city said.

The night of the parade begins with entry check-in and staging on Camino Ramon near the intersection of Camino Ramon and Norris Canyon Road from 4-6 p.m. Parade floats, vehicles and essential support vehicles should access the staging area by traveling East on Norris Canyon and take a Right onto Camino Ramon, the city said.
Parade formation begins at 6:15 p.m. with the parade stepping off at 6:30 p.m.
