SANTEE, CA — The holidays are in full swing at Santee Lakes, where the "Lights at the Lakes" holiday show runs through Dec. 28.
The drive-through light show, which first debuted last holiday season, features a mile of festive light displays synchronized to holiday music on a radio station. Lights at the Lakes will take place on select dates through Dec. 28. Santa will make an appearance Dec. 21, 22 and 23.
Shawna Fakhouri, the park and recreation operations administrator for Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve, told Patch that visitors have come from all over San Diego County, as well as Riverside and Los Angeles counties — and beyond — for the show.
