Movies In The Park Returns To Santee With 'The Wizard Of Oz' Screening

SANTEE, CA — Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! A free outdoor screening of "The Wizard of Oz" is coming to Santee.

The city of Santee, in partnership with San Diego County's Summer Movies in the Park series, is showing the classic film Saturday, Sept. 20 at Town Center Community Park East. Community members are encouraged to bring chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy an evening under the stars in the Land of Oz.

The event will also feature free pre-show activities, live entertainment, food, vendors and more. Highlights include free face painting, inflatable activities, a live DJ with contests and games, and dance performances by Expressions Dance and Movement Center.

Pre-show activities will begin at 4 p.m. The movie will begin about 15 minutes after sunset at Town Center Community Park East at 550 Park Center Drive. Parking is available on-site but is limited.
