​Santee Deputies Earn Hugs with Return of Stolen Purse

The 91-year-old victim became very emotional and hugged all of the deputies upon the return of her property​.

SANTEE, CA - A purse snatching got a happy ending in Santee this week.

Santee Sheriff's deputies responded Monday to a robbery call in the 9600 block of Mission Gorge Road. A 91-year-old woman had her purse snatched from her, deputies said.

Deputies were able to locate the suspect in his vehicle in a parking lot nearby in the 8500 block of N. Magnolia Avenue in Santee and retrieve the stolen purse and cash belonging to the victim.

Upon the return of her property, the 91-year-old became very emotional, cried and hugged all of the deputies.

Jesse James Farquar, 29, was placed under arrest for robbery, elder abuse and possession of narcotics and booked into San Diego Central Jail.
